hi, my oldest child is starting grade 2 this year and already knows basic counting, adding subtracting, a little bit of multiplying, etc – is it too late to start with miquon? which book would I start her in?

    thanks

    Hi Catheryn,

Thank you for the great question regarding Miquon. It would be possible to begin Miquon in first grade with a child who already knows some addition, subtraction and even a bit of multiplication. Miquon is known for introducing a variety of concepts in each book, it may still be necessary to begin with the Orange book to ensure there are no gaps in the math sequencing. I have attached the PDF Scope and Sequence for Miquon Math so you can easily see the concepts taught in each level. Please let us know if you have other questions.
